Unrelated to anything, but: Freeze-dried backpacking meals are a comfort food for me, and Mountain House had a Black Friday sale that brought the price/meal down to around where my normal grocery budget lives so I bought several bulk cans of various things, including one I had not tried before but seemed intriguing. Namely, Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bowl. It's been my I-need-to-eat-but-nothing-sounds-good meal for the past week. It's kind of like pizza in stew form? Not something I think I will find myself craving, but maybe the closest thing to Bachelor Chow I've come across. I imagined Bachelor Chow to be something you just poured in a bowl and ate and this requires boiling some water, stirring, and waiting 9 minutes, but still pretty close

Huh. Barnes & Noble is on DoorDash.
Namely, Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bowl.
This reminds me of Pizza-in-a-Cup from the Steve Martin movie The Jerk.
I did not remember that. Possibly inspired by!
Is there anywhere we are talking Heated Rivalry? Not sure I have much to actually say other than “squeeeeee!” But.
Also I absolutely want bachelor chow. I want it to be crunchy. Protein bars and shakes and stuff aren’t crunchy.
Premium, meara
And, yes, bachelor chow should be crunchy! I have always imagined something kind of cereal like, but maybe something like chex mix would work? Hm
There is actual primate kibble.
Hm. Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, but might do.
Googling is finding me things labeled “not for human consumption” and “designed for non-human primates” but the price is only a little higher than I’d prefer . . .
Be surprised if it tastes as good as pizza in a cup, though
