Happiest Solstice wishes all! So ready for the days to get longer. It has been either take the dog to the park at 4:30 or walk around with the flashlight on to find the poop. I've been choosing the latter because the traffic is prohibitive earlier, and the dog isn't fond of sitting around on the road.
Power~ma to those still without power in San Francisco and weather~ma for all traveling and visiting during the holidays.
Timelies all!
It has been a quieter weekend than usual. Unfortunately, that is because Mr. S came down with the flu on Thursday, and is in isolation at the unit. We were supposed to do a playdate with the daughter of some friends of ours.(Their daughter is about 6 months younger than Mr. S) Instead we had an adult playdate and played games. Later today we are going over to my MIL's place for a Hanukkah thing and dinner.
Happy Solstice, y’all!
Sheryl, I hope Mr. S feels better soon.
Happy Midwinter everyone!
Christ on a bike, I have 23 peer review requests. Can't I just say everyone did great and then log off for the year??
Seems like a valid process to me. Five stars, no notes!
We got an email on Friday saying we are starting the appraisal cycle and I should have my accomplishments and areas of improvement done for today but my boss is on vacation until 1/5 so I'm putting it off as long as possible
I think I have accepted that I am just a [person who types "your welcome" most of the time. The welcome is yours, I give it to you, what the hell
Can't I just say everyone did great and then log off for the year??
You sure can.

Not only do I write by ear which makes me prone to homophone errors, but my years as a secretary have grooved my quick typing fingers with neural pathways that will tap out the most familiar word rather than the word I am thinking.
In short, I have to edit everything at least twice to keep from sounding like an idiot.
Absolute downpour this morning and I made the strategic error of going to the grocery store after a cafe stop.
Trudging home in the heavy rain my paper bag got soaked and fell apart while I was several blocks from home. I had to hug my soggy produce to my raincoat to make it home.
Of course, it's stopped raining now so I'd just waited a little bit I could've made life easier.
In short, procrastination can solve all problems!

That's nuts. There should be a limit. I hope the review is at least clicking buttons and not having to write shit out. Jesus.

That actually sounds kind of pleasant.

And that does not sound pleasant!
I hope the review is at least clicking buttons and not having to write shit out.
It is, unfortunately, writing shit out. I do have the option to decline at least.
