I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Tachycardia solidarity represent! I showed up to a routine physical with a resting heart rate of 133 a few months ago, so it's meds for me, as well. Good news is I'm down to high 80s/low 90s now. Bad news is if I get up too fast, my head swims.

Headed to the doc this afternoon for my now-monthly checkup. Still not used to having a PCP who is visibly in his early thirties; makes me feel a bit old. But he's a sweet soul and he listens to me, which is a damn sight better than the last one.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Karl, eventually I got used to my meds and don't feel a thing. If I forget to take them at bedtime I'll feel funny in the morning but I'll sort out in about half an hour once I do.

She is missing ugly sweater day. There is more fun things next week. So, I’m hoping she’s better by Monday.

Aw, bummer. But I'm sending vibes that she mends over the weekend.

Yay for clean scope, Pix.

then I proceeded to pour vanilla coffee creamer over my cereal instead of milk.

Oops. Well, good on you for toughing it out.

Lunch was lovely, and even though it was super noisy, DH was a trooper, so gold star there. And, weirdly, we could all hear each other at the table even through the noise. Maybe I don't need my ear horn quite yet.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Pass the bubble wrap, please.

The good news: My family on the East coast sent me a Christmas present, and it was delivered today.
The bad news: UPS delivered it to the apartment building next door. Right apartment number, wrong building number.
The good news: When I got the delivery email, but found no package at my door, I correctly guessed what had happened, and was able to go get my package.
The bad news: While walking back to my apartment building, I tripped and fell on the sidewalk. I did not land well.
The good news: I did not break any bones. Although my glasses came off, I did not scratch or break them. Although my phone flew from my hoodie pocket and hit the sidewalk, it did not break. Although my wallet flew from my other hoodie pocket, I was able to find it not far away. I did not realize I had lost my shoe until I stood up, but it too wasn't far away. The package did not break open, and the contents were not damaged. I made it back to my apartment okay.

I have road rash on my left knee and right palm, a sore right hip, and a very sore heel of my left palm.

The scrapes have been cleaned up and bandaged. They sting. I have taken a painkiller. I have a lot of rest-ice-compression-elevation in my future.
