The world is very invasive on my puzzle time these last couple of days. Rude.
So rude!
Ugh, David. It is a constant battle. Reminds me that I need to do my skin check. All have been okay so far, but living in FL for 45 years it remains on my regular check list.
ION, I have ordered my turkey for pickup next Tuesday because that's how quickly Thanksgiving is coming.
I looked at a bunch of pickup meal options, but NONE of them seem quite right, so I am probably going to have to do it all myself. I was going to try the Costco thing, but all sold out.
Dang, Hec! Very glad you have these screenings!
We are not doing a turkey this year, mom has ordered the Veggies en Croute and sides to pick up, um, I don't know when because I don't have to do it, but I think she told me Monday? I'm getting a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce delivered right now (well, imminently) to make up for the gap, from a new-to-me place called Sprankles Deli. It's not Kprinkle but it's pretty close...
Ooh, time to check on the availability of that pie she likes...
Not quite time. I have to wait ten more minutes.
Kudos to Dr. Watkins and her vigilant surveillance. I'm sorry you have to have both procedures, but I'm glad that it is known that you need them.
Hil, that is a crapload of crap, indeed. I'm sorry. Your woes with the email/documents reminded me that I keep meaning to post a note about a holiday card exchange, so I did.
I also realize I miscounted and really only missed one year of that, so I guess I'll go edit my post now. Oh, silly brain hiccups.
Rain and thunder right on time to drench me as I dash out to my car. I tossed a rain poncho in with my stuff this morning but I think I left it in my car as it was not raining when I got to the office. Sigh.
It's probably doesn't say anything good about me that I feel disappointed after clicking through on a headline that reads "True Crime Writer Killed" to see that it was in a car accident. I had to confess to someone, y'all are the lucky winners.
Ha, I did bring my poncho in! Score!
And it stopped raining long enough for me to get out to the car without using it. Mixed feelings on that one.
EM's regularly scheduled Tuesday visit, happened today instead (because Pilates is closed for Thanksgiving week, and today's session was "independent and optional". I opted to not.)
The table got cleared of many things in prep for Thanksgiving, and EM will come over on Wednesday and help with housecleaning etc.
But also I did the following:
1. Scheduled surgery for Moh's procedure and melanoma excision on Dec. 1. (Next available was in January).
2. Contacted window specialist who installed our curved windows to have him come by and close my damn window which is stuck open. (And it's very cold in my place, because...)
3. Scheduled visit by HVAC specialist to fix the heat in my place which has been dysfunctional for a while.
4. Reached out to neighbor for her housecleaning service, so I can get some regular cleaning here, as I'm in a perpetual state of behind.
So executive function exercised.
Also, Matilda's friend Mia is joining us for Thanksgiving for the fourth year in a row, and that is lovely news. We love having her.
