My assumption is that his employment contracts wouldn’t allow for peaceful rest over something as trivial as dying. (See Lilah as an example.) It’s probably just a lateral move to a different department.

Ironically, I brought Cheney up in our weekly team meeting today (celeb deaths usually lead to more people buying books about them/by them) and nobody knew what I was talking about. So hooray, we've all lived long enough to make Dick Cheney completely irrelevant. Good work everyone!
