Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering.
Go away, 2018. You have a lot to turn around, 2019. Be a Good Place.
I was excited to receive a package yesterday from Dallas and placed it under my tree without opening the contents, and the gift bag was very pretty under the tree. Got up this morning early as always and opened up my presents! [link] In the order opened, a cute card which I didn't open and then put aside per instructions to save for last, a happy Snoopy pin, a What Would A Sloth Do pen that will bring a grin to my face during the work day, heart chocolates (yum yum yum), a really lovely artsy kitchen towel, and an absolutely beautiful set of painted nested boxes. I love little boxes and use a variety of them to store my jewelry and little treasures. These are quite lovely and will warm my heart for many years to come. Thank you so very much, Santa Dana!
To my dear santee, life gets calmer tomorrow and I can complete the project I am working on for you.
Sounds awesome Laura.
Last night I went to Matthew's brother's for their annual Christmas Eve party/unwrapping extravagana (they do extended family and friends presents ). His sister got me some scented candles and his brother and sister in law got me a cat pendant and earring set. Our gifts were a hit .
We haven't opened presents yet this morning but I did do the first sort of present. I asked Matthew about a date he wanted me to move in. I decided if I have to drive back and forth for a bit it's fine. His reply was "this weekend!" Which was wonderful but impractical so it's going to be the third weekend in Jan. In three weeks. I'm scared but excited and besides figuring out logistics we also have to paint the front bedroom which will become a library/computer room for me.
I'm so excited for you guys, skye!
A plan! Very happy and excited for you, askye.
Thanks, Sophia! I'd love to meet you, f2f too. I have job opening auto searches set up for higher ed within ~45 minutes of Rochester, NY, so we'll see what happens. My niece just had her first baby last night, so now I have extra incentive.
I have still not mailed my gift yet, apologies giftee. Will aim for tomorrow.
Santa,
Thanks for part one--between you and my mom's gift card, am well-stocked on current novels.
THANKS SO MUCH, SANTA RIO!(I guess I didn't figure it out because white girls get slow between muffins, but I'll enjoy this paperback very much.)
(Liane Moriarty, if anybody wants to know what I'm reading right now.)
Don't worry about being late, anticipation is also a nice part of Buffista gifts so you shouldn't feel like a FUCKO or anything...
Rio hasn't been on the board in a while and she wasn't a participant in the exchange. Methinks a sly gifter is at work here.
Ah, clever...
I thought maybe she was in threads I lost track of, natter in particular being like word-rapids.
