Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Our wings are not tired.

Congrats on the move, Nora.

In other news, is anything better than getting the flight check-in notice for vacation??

That is a good one for sure.

Tired this morning from staying up past my bedtime to watch debates, and will do it again tonight. I have thoughts, but they are still napping.

That which does not kill you should RUN

I always think of Sophia when this happens: I had a lot of beets for dinner last night and definitely would have thought I was dying this morning if I didn't remember!

This can happen with red velvet cake, too.

I didn't watch. I could come up with thoughts, but their value would be very suspect.

Vortex, at this point it looks like we'll just miss you in New Orleans. :-(

How is New Orleans doing? There was a lot of news about the potential for massive flooding, but I never heard much about it after that. I'm hoping that means things weren't too bad.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It was fine. I think the route of the storm changed some, and the rain wasn't as heavy as predicted.

That's good to hear.

I hope Austin works out well for you, Nora.

Okay, y'all, phone interview at 11:30. I actually suspect the job would be too technical for me, and would also want more hours than I actually want to put in. But they contacted me on LinkedIn and said my background was "extremely impressive," so at the very least, I will take the ego boost.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You ARE extremely impressive, Dana!
