this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Okay, I not only made appointments with 2 different doctors for minor stuff that won't go away without medical assistance (in the form of sweet sweet meds), I have gone to both appointments and picked up the sweet sweet meds. Self-care victory! Now I really want Pad Thai, and I'm eyeing up DoorDash since Tim has class tonight.

Our wings are not tired.

You deserve the Pad Thai for sure.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

We took the girls to apply for their passports, voted while we were there, and are now on our way to pick up a new (used) bike for J, who just learned how to ride without training wheels. Now looking up nearby pizza places for dinner, since we've used up all our adulting for the day.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Prescription the doctor supposedly sent in this morning is nowhere to be found at the pharmacy. I got a person at the doctor's office when I called this morning, but naturally had to leave a message a couple of hours ago. And still no prescription.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

sj, the teachers at Mr.S's PEP program use 1,2,3 Magic, and have recommended it to us. We haven't looked into the system yet, because we are busy trying figure out things like where Mr. S is going this fall for preschool. (The place he was in last year a) was unsure of his ability to behave and b) took so long to get back to us that there aren't any slots left. grr...)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys are TCBing! Despite the efforts of the world to thwart you.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sheryl, I started some of it today, and it seems to help a little.

Some of you may remember my nephew who was born with a heart condition. Well, he's a teenager now, and he has to go in for surgery to make some fixes to his heart monitor. Any ~ma you can spare please.

Our wings are not tired.

~ma for your nephew, sj.

Consistency is the key to 1,2,3. I liked the simplicity.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I must have used up all the good luck yesterday -- went to a mechanic because of a creaky-groany noise my car was making as it drove, and it turned out to be something they didn't charge me for (or make up something to repair for big bucks). I think I will be using them in the future.

Coding and Sleeping

Going to the mechanic and not spending money is the best! Car repair on on my agenda for the weekend. Last weekend was installing a new stereo in my son's car. This weekend will be replacing the spark plugs and ignition coils. Mostly an easy job, but the spark plugs are the easiest to get to.
