I'll be fine. I'll be your bounty, Jubal Early. And I'll just fade away.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tired. Not a real surprise, since something started beeping at 6:30 am both today and yesterday.

What's going on, Gud?

Lot of work stress, lot of home stress, financial stress (especially with medical expenses), my daughter's car started misfiring this week, my car's check engine light has been coming on (code indicates fuel pressure), my wife gave it to me yesterday, one of our dogs is sick and I've been cleaning that up and shampooing carpet, I mowed the yard, and still there's laundry, making dinners, getting groceries, fixing my MIL's computer, helping my son setting up a web server, and it's just been hard. I have fixed my daughter's car and hopefully fixed my car (assuming I correctly guessed the reason for the low fuel pressure). Really feel like I should take my son out to practice driving, but I need to do work work. At least I already prepped dinner this morning so that will be pretty easy, just cook and make some sauce.

Also, I'm having headache issues and my elbow is really hurting, but those I just have to ignore for now. Right now I just wish I could make it all stop.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is a lot, Gud. I'm sorry, man.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Gud - I am going to prioritize a bit for you:

- unless it is for school, your son does not need a web server.
- unless she does not have the funds, your MIL should be calling geek squad for her computer.
- your children and wife can do laundry, and dinner making (especially since you did two car repairs this week).

I'm happy to speak to your family directly. I've been thinking for a while that it would be interesting if you set up a camera or two in your home to see who does what and what is asked of you and how it is asked.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Also you wife can take your son out driving.

msbelle and sj are wise, Gud. You should not be responsible for everydamnthing in your household. That is neither sustainable nor sensible (nor fair!).

ION, I made this cake for my sister's birthday. I really hope it came out; all the constituent elements tasted good, but I'm worried the cakes themselves are dry. No way to know now!

That sounds delicious Consuela! Even if it's a little dry that's what all the cream is for, right?

I'm going to the film fest later, which will be nice. I have downloaded a bunch of books from the library but haven't managed to read most of them.

What is even happening?

That looks great, Consuela.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We went to the pet store to pickup dog food and we ended up with a new kitten! I always go over to see where the shelter kitties on display are, even though my DH put his foot down about us having three cats. Well, there was an 11-week-year-old black kitten. lounging on his little bed and as soon as we said hi, he started kneading his paws in the air with great enthusiasm. Mr. "Three Cats Is Too Many" fell in love and now we get to go pick up our new guy later in the week and bring him home!!!!!
