Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yes, take care of yourself, Gud.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Would it be useful to sit with your wife and map out a reasonable set of tasks for the day? I think she is still loading her anxiety onto you, so that she can deflect it into criticism.

Tasks that she says you do not do well: ask her if it would be better if you don't do them at all, and hire somebody else to do them -- or have her do them herself.

It sounds like you NEVER do things WITH her. Even if all she'd be doing is handing you a wrench when you're under the sink, it would get her involved.

I'd very much like to see you take a "weekend off" once a month. Announce it in advance, so nobody is surprised. Second weekend of the month is Dad's, where he works on his own cool stuff, maybe goes to a movie (with other family along if they'd like) maybe stop for a meal out on the way home, or take a walk in the park.

Because books.

No spoilers, but the attention to detail in Stranger Things is amazing. The scene with the Gap in the mall? Period-correct price tags!? Wow.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Anachronistic lighting though.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I loved the Gap! I didn't remember Gap Kids that early, but I think maybe it was because I was in the boondocks

Like Matt said, what does she do around the house? Anything?

That weekend I think she did a load of laundry, but mostly I think she read some books for work and did a little binge watching of Grey's Anatomy. She did do some yard work on Monday.

Also, please tell me your tetanus shot is up to date?

Yep. Hurt like heck the first day, but recovered pretty quickly after that. I delayed the driving practice until the next day because of it which earned me a 'Are you fucking kidding me?', but, you know, still got it in the next day.

On the good side of things. The new stereo for my son's car arrived last night. I'll probably wire up the harness tonight or tomorrow night and install it this weekend. His car is pretty decent anyhow, but I think getting the touchscreen, USB, Bluetooth, and in-dash nav will make it seem a lot cooler. I've already done an install in a Fit of that vintage so I know the gotchas and I know that, properly installed, the new stereo will look like it belongs when done.

Yeah, I dunno, cleaning together often doesn't go well as I apparently do a lot of things wrongly.

I saw and liked Season 1, but never got around to Season 2. Don't really watch a lot of TV.
