A friend picked me up and brought me to another friends house to watch football. Which I don't care one bit about Michigan vs Michigan State. But seeing people is key.
It's getting cold here—I need to get a coat next time I get someone to take me to my house.
Also trying to find someone who can drive me on a Wednesday afternoon to my follow up appointment. In theory I could uber but I think it would be hard (and expensive) given how I'm getting in and out of the house. (Well, easier to get back via uber since I could say what to do, to the driver)
Timelies all!
Am in the main concert room, listening to the Guests of Honor.
What's going on, Gud? Can you prioritize, so what MUST get done, gets done, and the rest can be pushed back if needed?
I hope you are doing ok, Gud.
Glad you are getting out amongst the humans, meara

I had some nice rides this morning -- left me feeling good about interacting with people and doing something that I'm good at. Then I came home and collapsed in a small quivering tired heap, so I didn't get anything done all afternoon, except for some Facebook games (my big sin) and reading the latest Seanan McGuire book.
My Dad's 80th birthday was Thursday. Friday late I flew from KCI to DCA, to attend a surprise birthday lunch for him today. There were about thirty friends and family there. He was indeed surprised. A good time was had by all. The party moved from the restaurant to his home, and didn't break up until after 6pm. I overheard my little brother's newish girlfriend say it felt like a Thanksgiving holiday party.
Tomorrow Dad and I plan to go do something touristy - probably visit the battlefield at Manassas.
Monday I fly back to KC, hoping the Ford dealership will have fixed my new car - the steering assist failed Friday morning. At least it wasn't while actually on the way to the airport. Sigh. Trying not to worry about it until I get back home.
Laura, I...don't know what that last line means?
Bev was correct, I hit the language key on the iPhone and changed to random language. Since the highway was calling I didn't fix it.
Drove from Harrisburg to Savannah today. Almost 15 hours. Stopped in Charlotte for dinner with family. Tired.
Dcp, that sounds like a complete delight.
I accidentally made a poor woman feel inadequate at the grocery store this evening. I was wearing my very long, narrow infinity scarf looped around my neck, and she looked up and said, "That's lovely, how long is it?" I unwrapped it and showed it reaches within a couple of feet of the floor. Proud of it, I said, "I found a cashmere sweater at the thrift store for $5, unwove it, and made the scarf." Her jaw was hanging open, and her husband was looking confused but willing to support his wife's enthusiasm. Then she frowned and looked down at the jar of Cheez-Whiz in her hand. "And I'm just going to microwave this."
I wanted to stop and be supportive and all that, but I was already feeling like a fraud and my hip was spasming. I hope she enjoys her nachos or whatever she was planning on making.

Ooh, it's been a while since I looked into her output. Given her insane pace I bet there are at least two new ones for me!
I am on my way to the airport to go to Orlando. I definitely know they have stores there if I forgot anything.
