That's a lot. Boo.
I am getting hot and sour soup delivered. That should fix me right up.

I'm hoping I'm on the upswing of a very mild cold, rather than one that is just taking it's sweet time settling in. My throat doesn't hurt anymore, but the coughing may be about to begin, I fear.
I went to bed early, and slept surprisingly well! I woke up shortly after falling asleep because of fireworks, but then I'm sure I slept through others! That was a surprise, when I woke up this morning!
Sweet, we can go early. Me and my soup are going straight to bed.
I have like 20 minutes by myself in a hotel room with Wimbledon on the telly. Bliss.
It felt like rides were few and far between, but I managed to make my self-appointed goal in a reasonable amount of time (
I woke early dreaming about DH and me being held hostage in a motel room--she and I in smocks and flowered capri pj pants--by Nicole Kidman. The door to the room was in the corner behind the ice machine where it was easy to overlook. I don't know what we had done to her, but she had taken our phones, disabled the water and the electricity, sealed the windows and was about to exit and apply superglue to the lock, leaving us with no electricity, no means of outside communication, no water, and no food except for one slice of cheese on a plate. She was holding us at gunpoint. I decided I didn't want to die of starvation or boredom and knocked her down. She shot me but I fell on top of her and kicked the gun to DH. He grabbed her phone and called help.
I'd been up and down during the night--the bombardment had stopped about 1AM so I don't know what kept waking me up. But I was kind of glad I was alert enough to disarm Nicole Kidman.
Timelies all!
Quiet weekend here. Well...as quiet as things can be with Mr. S around.
Iced Tea and Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka - newest summer obsession.
Beverly, that's quite the dream. I didn't know Nicole had it in her.
MIL spotted a robe in a store window she wanted to look at. So we walked down to the store. MIL went inside. I looked at the window, which advertised clothes. And lingerie. And toys.
I discovered an urgent need to look at something in the store next door.
