Thank you, Cindy!
I am avoiding the debates, but skimming news coverage and social media reactions and reading the candidates' actual websites and interviews and whatnot. Before last night, there was nary a white man in my top 5, and it looks like neither last night nor tonight has changed that one bit.

If the media is to be believed, it sounds like the two debate 'winners' were Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris. (Incidentally, one of Biyi's oldest friends in Australia is called Elizabeth Warren. She asked me about a month ago about what the senator was like.)
By which, of course, I mean: Happy birthday, JZ!
Happy birthday JZ!
Laura, that's amazing. You're amazing.
Sheryl, I'm sorry things are so difficult.
JZ, I hope the day was filled with spoils!
Debate was a hot mess, but I am pleased that Harris is declared the 'winner' of the mess. Warren and Harris leading the pack aligns with my vision.
Meanwhile Vlad and Don playing footsie and planning the 2020 campaign.
Black coffee:
If memory serves me if we celebrate JZ one day, then Hec gets celebrated the next. Happy birthday, David. I hope you and JZ are enjoying your almost joint days.
Turkey post:
We went to my favorite sushi place last night to get together with DIL's parents before my departure to NY for the summer. I tend to get stuck ordering the same thing all the time so I mixed it up and got something different. Sooooo good. Tempura shrimp, snapper, sweet potato, asparagus, crab, the roll was wrapped in avocado and more tempura on the side. I couldn't finish it so that is my breakfast.
According to Twitter I should go and watch just the Marianne Williamson parts of the debate. Not to vote for her, just to be amazed.

Yep.
I love the annual 1-2 punch of JZ/Hec birthdays! Happy birthday Zmayhems!
You can imagine the quizzical look on DH's face when he turned to me and asked who she was. I just answered, an author, you don't need to remember her name. He knows I respect authors so that only added to his confusion.

We went out and had a fancy cheese plate and cocktails last night. So, yes we are.
