this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

What kind of training?

Was it, "How to drink Margaritas?"

My technique may be faulty. I probably need training.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My technique may be faulty. I probably need training.

I personally need a refresher course every summer.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am going to do a self led re-training on the making of and consumption of my homemade summer pina coladas tonight.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all

Adding on to the child care problems, now the nanny agency says they won't send anyone out to us because of a)Mr. S's behavior towards the last couple of people they sent and b) the state of our house(not clean enough/smells like cat pee). We're working on the latter, possibly by getting a housekeeper in on a regular basis. As for the former, I've been playing phone tag with some child psychologists our pediatrician recommended.

We're also researching lots of child care options.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry, Sheryl. That's a lot to deal with at once.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, Sheryl. I'm sorry.

Our wings are not tired.

I am sorry it is so rough going, Sheryl.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

That's really tough, Sheryl. I'm sorry.

Sorry to post and run (post and snooze, really). Anyway, we're very excited. We'll be in the States for three weeks, which still feels awfully rushed. Seven stops in total. Biyi just got her visa approved today; she's a Chinese citizen, so we weren't sure if they might reject her, or at least slap a 25% tariff on her. But that's sorted! (And now apparently she has to apply for a visa to get back into Australia as well, despite being a permanent resident. I feel our Dept of Immigration doesn't quite grasp the meaning of at least one of those words.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ack, Sheryl!

I started a course on MongoDB.

Rosemary bought a portable dishwasher, and when they delivered it, she forgot to ask them to put the wheels on, so it's just sitting in the middle of the kitchen, too far to hook up to the sink...

I am not volunteering to try to put the wheels on, the stupid thing is way too heavy for me to try tipping over so that I can get at the bottom by myself -- and of course Rosemary is useless when it comes to helping.

She baffles really easily -- who would forget that the wheels have to be added on (well, the delivery guys didn't figure it out either.)
