Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Dana, quick recovery to your husband.

I still have a uti. So, I need another round of antibiotics, and I'm not sure I would have ever found out if I didn't call my doctor myself. Headache is still here. I hate all of this.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Norovirus is pretty hard to avoid, alas. I hope y'all have a nice long stretch of things being easy and pleasant for a change, Dana. Starting...now

I left my computer glasses at home so I'm wearing my distance glasses while I work and my ridiculous brain keeps trying to mash Wallace (of & Gromit) saying "They're the wrong trousers glasses, and they've gone wrong" into the "They got the mustard out" song"

Maybe it's time for coffee

I was looking at instacart this morning and it turns out that they added Wegmans to their delivery options. So, I can get everything I need for the party delivered including the alcohol. Which is a huge relief. Everything is being delivered tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

Delivery is the absolute best.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Victory!

Last time I checked they weren't on there and slow cooking polenta, pancetta, etc aren't available at the other markets they use. Or at least the items aren't available for delivery. Plus most grocery stores still don't have alcohol here.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sigh ... my schedule this week somehow includes 6.5 hours of meetings - one two-hour staff meeting tomorrow (followed by pizza), a two-hour conference call on Monday, one half-hour conference call today and two one-hour conference calls tomorrow ... just kill me now (I have to write up meeting notes for the conference calls)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's hilarious, Toddson, because I don't think a day is bad until it includes 6.5 hours of meetings!

My boss is on vacation this week, but I just heard her screaming down the hall (in a good way -- she's just loud) because our upcoming new Big Boss is here for a couple of days.

Hooray, sj!

I feel your pain, Toddson. I'm actually not to badly overscheduled with meetings right at the moment, but I did have a half-hour training that starts at 11 appear on my calendar this morning at 9. So that's a delight.
