Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

In the words of Rocket, 'Oh Yeah'.

That looks like an ideal weapon to use on snowmen, come winter. Bilbo's Sting is the perfect weight and length to use on those wintery menaces, so you can do fancy combo strokes. Of course, nothing can beat a two-handed bastard sword for satisfying decapitations and cleavings--and upsetting the neighbors.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks for the reminder, Gris. I should check.

My remaining shoes are falling apart, service at dinner was terrible, and the hotel had blown a fuse and had no power when we returned. Fixed now. I am going to bed in self defense.

By 9 am I'd been to the hardware store & replaced the toilet fill valve contraption and have been in meetings or responding to issues ever since.

I didn't even get to make my phone calls :(

But hey, now my toilet fills (and now in 30 seconds, not minutes.)

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Good idea, Dana. Tomorrow is another day. - Scarlett O'Hara. Fingers crossed that things start going your way.

I wish I could shove my corporate travel insurance through the intertubes for you.

Speaking as someone who has had shoes disintegrate while traveling, that sucks real hard and it's always more traumatic than if it happens at home. Can you buy some new shoes as a souvenir? Which I realize is not the ideal solution with the unemployment situation, but hopefully your credit card has baggage delay/loss insurance coverage that could allow you to splurge.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Washington Folk Festival is this weekend. Hopefully Mr. S will let us listen to the concerts we want to see.

Today is May 31st. Midafternoon my company put out an email announcing May is Mental Health Month and here is what we're doing to provide support for employee mental health. Nice to know towards the end of Mental Health Month.

Ha, Connie. So perfect.

A bit tipsy after a nice date night dinner out. Told DH I wanted to go for a boat ride now too! Whee! You have no idea how many times I backspaced! Also, taking Skinner for his first boat ride.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am the only one home and not doing more than usual online and I keep getting a message on my tv (streaming) that there is not enough bandwidth.

Ugh. Something I ate must have disagreed with me because I woke up and had to puke. And then tried to go back to bed but just had to again. I'm tired and my head hurts and I want to sleep. Whine whine whine.
