Well, I've been having my ups and downs - I was rather severely rebuked by someone for not following up quickly enough when I didn't receive approval for something Tuesday afternoon ... although it wasn't scheduled to go out until Wednesday morning. She, of course, copied my boss on the message so I had to talk him through the whole situation and explain my reasoning. Now I've had to ask the pharmacist to put my prescriptions in bottles that don't have the child-proof caps, since I'm developing arthritis in my hands and it's getting harder and harder to open them.
However, I read about this guy ... so I guess I could be worse off.
Sometimes I think my life is a trash fire and then I read about someone like that, and I feel pretty darn good about myself.
Sounds like food poisoning, Zen, if you barfed once and then were over it. And there's no good way of knowing what you might have eaten in the last day to previous week that might have caused that.
We'll see what happens next time I eat cereal.
However, I read about this guy ... so I guess I could be worse off.
That's some quality boyfriend material there.
I don't really get colds, or sick in general, so when it does happen I am a huge baby about it. I was pretty sickly as a kid so I figure I got it over with early. Never have had the flu, or pneumonia, or bronchitis, or any of that kind of stuff, not even strep throat. People around me get that stuff all the time. Even when I am doing training in doctor's offices a lot I seem to avoid the germs. Now of course I have just cursed myself big time.
I ended up spending $25 on some wireless headphones at the airport. Will probably try to buy some cheap ones while I'm in DC—I dislike having to charge my headphones, it annoys me.
I bought some of the true wireless ones despite being afraid I would lose them, and have actually both kept up with them and used them more than any previous headphones. The battery / carrying case makes charging less annoying than my previous ones and also makes it easier to stick them in my pocket without tangling and such. Now I just grab them with my keys and they slide right in. Love them.
Mine are the Zeus Dudios TWS. Got them for 35 dollars on sale at Amazon. Sound quality is cheap but plenty good for my very non audiophile needs.
Oh, *that's* what "true wireless" means. I've been seeing it in descriptions and wondered.
That guy does make me feel better about myself. Yep.
I have a pair of true wireless earbuds, but they're not as comfortable as the behind-the-neck variety I've been using for years.
I actually have a pair, I just was unclear on the terminology. The main thing I like about them is that the carrying case is also a charge source. I am bad about starting a 5k with not enough charge in my headphones to make it to the finish line, seems to happen less with the charge-in-case and the case has a USB outlet for charging whatever which gives me some peace of mind.
My produce delivery people are advertising their Father's Day specials and one of them is for something that appears to be called Goat Soap for Men. I think it's probably made from goatsmilk, but the name does not sound like a scent I want.
