Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Yeah--a little less so knowing I'm calling it a leave of absence and going to have to come back. Don't want to burn bridges. But....yeah.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I watched last night's episode of What We Do In The Shadows.. and there was a cameo by SWINTON.

Our wings are not tired.

I did little work work, but I did manage to plot out my next month's worth of meal menus, which helps me so much, just have to tweak a few sides and maybe rearrange, but essentially done. To celebrate I think I will go out to eat tonight! After my Whole Foods delivery because I went ahead and ordered ingredients I would need the next few days.

I just pushed a quote for $600,000+ out the door. Been working on that for a bit. Good to have it off my plate.

Quotes are tough! Well done. Hope you can get a bit of rest now.

Not so much on the rest. It's been a busy week for bids and quotes. I expect to be revising and updating a bunch of them for the next bit, but hopefully it also means a stack of new contracts.

brillig

I can probably start qualifying myself as late middle aged, because my primary thought after "Yay, Friday!" was "Yay, bed!"

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

ND, good luck.

no weirder than Eurovision itself.

Absolutely. I adore Eurovision weirdness. They took the expression "the floor is lava!" and are trying to raise it to a new level with every song.

shawarma

Never ate it (I'm vegetarian). But yeah, street food is good.

Someone pointed out how it's a perfect example of "who can tell which jokes". I think that's part of the mixed reception.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

no weirder than Eurovision itself.

My favourite Eurovision snippet (aside possibly from Portuguese revolutionaries using it as a signal to overthrow the government) concerns the 1982 contest, hosted by the UK. After the contest was over, the BBC recycled the set for a Doctor Who adventure the next year. I like to think Doctor Who was at the time being produced by the Wombles.
