Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm tired of supervisors treating "Meets Expectations" as some sort of fault.

We switched to Unsuccessful, Needs Work, Successful, High Quality, and Superior. and changed the merit raise math so that a mostly successful employee gets a slightly bigger percentage than they used to so that supervisors don't feel as tempted to artificially inflate evaluations in order to get better raises for their people.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am so not prepared to fly tomorrow. Flight slightly changed, so I am getting picked up 5 instead of 4:30 - woohoo! I hate early am flights, but FREE, so there's that.

I am going to forget something and my house is a wreck, but the dresses for wedding stuff are packed and the dog it to the sitter and I bought groceries for mac, so I guess most of the important stuff is covered.

OH! meds, I need to pack my everloving meds.

I feel a list coming on.

Our wings are not tired.

Two, count 'em two, days in a row that I got to the beach for a sunrise walk. Sunrise was at 6:36 AM today. Anyway, it was a big reminder that starting the day at the beach is a most awesome thing and I am supposed to do it every day. I can't in the winter because it is too late for me to get back to work in time, but most of the year it is doable. Also, the parking is free until 8AM and it annoys me to have to pay to go to the beach.

I walk on the dog beach because doggos are delightful, but I don't take Skinner yet because he would be too much work for me. He goes to the fenced in dog park. There was a couple where she was doing her whole yoga routine while he lounged in his chair playing with his drone.

Art Crawl!!!

Timelies all!

Re: Royal Baby Archie: weirdly he has several full-sized middle names. What's up with that?

Re: Kentucky Derby - I am still processing. I'm at the point of the stewards did what they had to do by the rules that are in place but I feel like the rules need to be changed. Apparently in the rest of the world the winner wouldn't have been set down to 17th.

I hope sometime this summer we get Maxximum Security, Country House, etc all in another race together.

Badminton: Piggy French!!! On a fierce little mare!! Like last year except then it was Jonelle Price on a fierce little mare!!

Now I want Piggy to win Burghley and then come back next year and win Kentucky.

Library stuff: I had no idea how many Jr high age teens hung out at the library until I started working here. . . because they are here during the time that those of us with full time jobs are at work. Also, sadly, one of the kids came in and was hoping he'd left his backpack here and alas, it is not here.

sumi, I'd been wondering where the teenagers went these days. Back in my day, it was the malls, but they're pretty much dead these days. I'm surprised about them hanging at the library, however. I would've thought some place more commercial.

Hey. New board.

I think there was always a library contingency. Most teenagers hang out in their room with their social media. Malls have been replaced with Snapchat.
