Also, the new royal baby is named Archie? Really?
Archie is weird. It seems like a nickname for something, rather than the baby's full name! But whatever....it'll probably become popular.
Harry probably figured that no one calls him Henry, so why not skip that part?
One of my coworkers said Archie was derived from Arthur, but I don't know where she got that.
I have now read the Serious Eats Food Lab on vodka sauce so I understand how it works a little better, but I'm not giving up my cognitive dissonance. It's mine and I cherish it.
Amy Schumer named her baby Gene, so I guess we're back in the groove of just giving babies nicknames! (I grew up with a Carrie, a Molly, etc. I would defend Jesse as being a full name, but not that hard.)
Weirdly, we're going the opposite direction. Both DH and his dad are just Sam, but we're using the long version.
At some point maybe texting will influence names. 'This is my daughter: k8ln'
There's some question whether Amy Fisher is trolling—the kids name is supposedly Gene Atall Fisher But...say that out loud a couple times.
