Oh, good, the meeting actually goes to 10:15.
Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I know it would be worse for you, but I was so hoping you would say "to 11:00."
HA. It would definitely not be good. I've already mentally checked out and am working on my yuletide signup. Fortunately, they record these meetings.
I had pizza for lunch, and it was so delicious, but now I am so full and sleepy. I have to present to a small group at 1:30, but at least after that, it's just one-on-one meetings and sliding into the weekend.
I have so many fun plans this weekend, but really I just want to stay in the house for two days! Oh well.
Yay Tim on new job!
I hope Zen and meara are healing up ok.
I took the dog for a run in the woods, but it was kind of a crappy run because I stupidly took a benedryl last night before bed. I slept really well, no hot flashes, but benedryl always makes me slow the next morning. So annoying.
Anyway I am now doing laundry and catching up on The Good Place.
Ahaha -- there's a guy here who I haven't worked with directly, but heard my boss call "unpleasant," which she mostly attributed to poor social skills, not actually ill intent. I was just copied on an email thread with him, and his full response to being sent something for review was, "I will have comments but can't send them now." Yeaaaahhhh, people usually use a LOT more social niceties than that here.
That sounds like a work email from me.
But you know I mostly work with major gift officers! It's not that there is anything wrong with this guy's email per se, it's just so unexpected here! It's making me laugh again to look at it.
Anyway. Yay Friday.
Also, I just freaked out in the mail room because they moved the mailboxes around. My bar is VERY LOW today.
A joke for my fellow tech writers:
Listening to a presentation about standardizing terminology to facilitate translation (structured authoring blah blah blah), and someone in the chat said:
"Just create a style guide that everyone adheres to."
Ha ha ha ha ha.
