Our wings are not tired.

At least with kids they do seem to bounce back a lot quicker than we do, but I certainly understand why she is miserable!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She is just now finally admitting her ear hurts. This kid is determined to always be fine at all costs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, poor ltc!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry ltc is sick, so.

Meanwhile, this is being the trip from hell, all due to Mr. S's behavior. Wouldn't go to sleep until very late last night, but still woke us up at 6:30 this morning. We have been taking turns staying with him in the room, which ended up with Gary going to the GoH concert and me dealing with the child. Who has just now fallen asleep. Sigh...

Oh, Sheryl. I'm so sorry.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

From the neighborhood FB group on a thread about a missing stop sign: "Isn't [alderman] on FB? Post a message to him and capitalize the words so he sees it's something that needs to be done ASAP." Well that should take care of it.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

shrift, who are you rooting for in the playoffs? After years of being almost exclusively a Canadiens fan, I'm actually rooting for the Leafs this year. Feels a bit odd, but here I am.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just spent 10 hours at a bellydance festival and know I'm lying in my parents' guest room with ice on my feet. Would not have predicted this 5 years ago.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

shrift, who are you rooting for in the playoffs?

Since the Blackhawks didn't make it in and I haven't switched my loyalty to the Sharks, I usually root for the Penguins. Depending on how the first round goes (and it's not going well), I will be dividing the remaining teams into two groups: "Wouldn't Be Mad If They Win It" and "YOU DIE AND YOU GO TO HELL."

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We had to say goodbye to our ancient, cranky, loving and bossy kitty, Squeaky Fromme, today. She stopped eating about a week ago and just went to bed. She always had to ave her own way and the same was true here. We called in a hospice vet to come to the house and ease her out, which happened this morning. I call them "hospice vets" while J refers to them as "creepy pet killers."

She was J's baby and just ADORED him, so he's pretty heartbroken. She looked a whole lot like Murderbiscuit, and it's nice to see on Facebook that her nefarious-yet-adorable ways are being carried on in Ohio.
