Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So if you've been compaining for years that your coworkers leave a particular task undone so you have to take care of it, and it isn't fair - when the supervisor creates a sign-in sheet for accountability, space for both staff to sign, explicit directions on who is responsible for which step, and instructions that both staff are to check together that the task is done and sign after checking together - and then you find that the other staff is still not doing what you think of as their share of the work, do you A) note the issue (there is a column for that) on the sign-in sheet so your supervisor has documentation that there was a problem; or 2) sign the sheet without indicating any issue and start coming in early to do the other person's work while complaining that nothing ever changes?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm. Columns exist to be filled out, after all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A! A! A! A!!

Our wings are not tired.

And the As have it!

DH has taken Skinner to our vet for a wellness visit. He wasn't well taken care of prior to the rescue. He was only 55 pounds when he was taken in to the rescue. Three weeks later he is now 60, but he had worms and had been treated for that. I expect in a year he will probably be about 80-90 pounds considering his breed/gender and leg length. Brendon is getting blood tests and stuff to make sure he doesn't have any other issues going on since he was spayed 3 weeks ago too and well just to make sure he is okay.

People who don't take care of their pets suck. He is just the sweetest baby.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac is being very mac. tried to say he was sick this morning by pushing a note under the door. school started at 8:40 and we are still at the house. Normally I would just leave him, but we have a new foster and she and Buddy the foster do not get along so I need to keep them separate and I can only do that once mac is out of the house. Leaving him here, he would no doubt open the doors between the dogs because that would be required to move around the house, and he is petty and vindictive, so. I am stuck here.

I'm sorry mac is such a boo. Alas, I find that most young men don't get their acts together until at least mid 20s. My mom said often you can't want for them. If they don't want more out of life for themselves you don't have a lot to work with. Some of the most ambitious hard working teens DH has worked with come from horrible situations where they really do want more from life. I'm sorry he doesn't get it, and I sincerely hope he figures it out quickly.

I'm sorry that this is so difficult, msbelle.

As a supervisor, I have far more resentment for the people who choose B than for the people who don't do stuff cuz they don't wanna.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Of course you do, WindSparrow! That said, it can be hard to break a pattern like that even when given tools to help you do that.

Does Mac have any ambition to, like, move out and be on his own? I feel like I remember you saying he did not. I don't know where I'm going with that, just that maybe it would be better for both of you if he was...

Yes, I left home when I was 17, and never came back. Then again, I was independent. My sons would both love to live in my home. The younger, with his wife, is welcome. They are independent and would share chores and expenses. The elder absolutely not. If he doesn't have his shit together by summer I will take him north with me, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

Argh, my Excel is Not Responding. I don't think opening a Help Ticket that just says "What happened? Why it happen?" would be effective but that is entirely how I feel.
