Our wings are not tired.

Oh dear, ~ma for Franny.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, Franny~ma!

I'm getting my work laptop! Exciting! And before 3 months officially in the new position that "requires" it. Barely.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Surgery~ma for your roommate, Theo.

Franny, be well!

ND, I've been thinking good and profitable thoughts your way. I hope everything works out in your favor soon.

There's something ironic in being anxious and stressed-out over having to wrap up apprx. 800 tasks on my last work day before leave due to anxiety issues. It's noon already and I've done one of them.

I vote don't wrap them up just forward any relevant emails to whoever and say "I won't be able to address this prior to my leave, see below the relevant information" or something

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good call, meara!

Good luck, Franny.

Gifts with purchase is the main thing I miss, not buying department store makeup.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

No word on the surgery so far, but generally it's a no-news-is-good-news situation. Not sure how long it's supposed to take, but this is not the kind of operation that they do as a regular Thing, so being able to predict that it will take 3 or 4 hours is not easy.

Because books.

Fingers crossed for your roommate, Theo.

Fran has a 103 fever and may have a mass on her spleen. Which is apparently common in old dogs? I'm essentially beside myself and sitting on the floor next to her while she sleeps. She was so dehydrated earlier, she was shallow panting, so they gave her fluids.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Poor Franny. I hope common = benign in this context.
