Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hoping for the best, all the way around, askye!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Safe travels, askye. Michael looks like a scary one indeed, and I'm glad you were able to get out ahead of it. Safety vibes to all of your FL family.

Thrive to spite them

I just learned on FB one of my dad's cousins is trapped near Apalachicola. I don't know why he didn't evacuate but he was with his MIL so that may have had something to do with it. His mother (I think or some relative of his) posted on my aunt's FB .

The Weather Channel evacuated from Apalachicola out of fear Hwy 98 would be flooded and portions washed away. This is a very real concern and most likely will happen. It happened during Dennis and it took a while for it to be rebuilt.

Our wings are not tired.

My friends in Tallahassee have lost power too. I expect they will shut down portions of the grid for safety purposes. Update us as you are able to askye. I hope your cousins are at a decent elevation.

Thrive to spite them

Dad got his power back. From what I understand the cousin is 100 ft from the water and the dock washed away already. The area he is in has some elevation but not alot.

Dad's cottage is 100 ft or so from the water but it's in a different area and in a sound rather than being directly on the Gulf.

When Dennis came through the storm surge didnt get to the first row of houses and we are on a slope so hopefully the water won't get to it.

Punishingly Intricate

Glad you got out of there, askye, and I hope your family makes it through unscathed. Sorry you're missing out on a beach vacation.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Safe travels, askye.

My folks should be in Florida by now(they left here early Monday morning), though they are a bit further south than where the hurricane is supposed to hit.

Thrive to spite them

I am back. We have been for a bit. I got my haircut which I was planning on doing down there. I did manage to do everything on my vacation checklist just not as much as I wanted.

My dad has lost power again. Last text from him he said some trees were down. My aunt has a stone wall that came down and a tree that fell.

What is even happening?

Congrats on the pitch, erika!

I'm glad you're safe, askye. I'm sorry about your dad's power and aunt's property.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.
