Our wings are not tired.

That is indeed an awesome cruise, and out of my back yard! I'm so glad you went Scrappy!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Maybe this is just a thing that bothers me, but what is with people who like to announce on social media that they are Definitely Not Into A Thing Many People Are Into? A guy I know posted today "I hate beer, I'm not Irish or Catholic, so...happy Sunday to everyone, I guess?"

Dude, if you don't give a shit about St. Patrick's Day, NO ONE CARES. No need to be superior about it on social media. Ugh. But then, I guess, if you didn't post, we wouldn't know how much you don't care.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, I've definitely been guilty of things like that in the past, but I try to not do it anymore.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I had to explain Boston St. Patrick's day to a couple of foreign visitor's today. I didn't go into the whole thing about why Evacuation Day is a city holiday, though. That's at least Boston 301 level.

brillig

All holidays have grinches.

That would be an amusing movie, the Grinch convention.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I like that idea, Connie.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to see "Captain Marvel" last night. Enjoyed ourselves.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm not having corned beef & cabbage to celebrate the day, although I have in the past. Today for the anniversary and holiday meal I made a super tasty key lime pie keto concoction. Made with avocado and cream cheese with a ground nut topping. For the low carby dinner it is chicken fajitas over lime cilantro riced cauliflower. Well, fajitas is a stretch, really just tenderloin strips and strips of 3 different color peppers tossed in spicy stuff and roasted. Pretty stuff. I like pretty food.

Cooking alternated with dog tending. Zoe is continuing to decline. Talked with kids and vets. She isn't in distress so we are letting nature take its course. She hasn't eaten in 5 days now. She will drink water. DH lifted her up into the truck this morning and we took her on a long drive along the beach, which she enjoyed. She is very weak of course. I don't know whether this is easier or harder on us than taking her to the vet for euthanasia, but we think it might be easier on her. Cats are giving her space, lying close by, but not too close.

I'm so sorry, Laura. Knowing when it's time to let a pet go is the last, best gift we can give our animal family.
