I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I did not, Jesse. Cool!

I can't decide if this makes the Calamari better or worse

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I've seen a number of places advocating for DST year-around ... changing the clocks (most of mine do NOT automatically update) is a pain. I saw one person, from a childcare center, saying that in the fall the kids get upset because it's dark outside and their parents haven't picked them up yet. I'd go for it, except in a few years I'd bet someone would come up with the bright idea of moving the clocks ahead an hour for the summer, forgetting/ignoring that we did that already.

brillig

I really want to stay on standard time year round, because noon is when the sun is at the highest point, darn it.

Samin was awesome! The event was a bit weird though—they hadn't planned very well and filled the symphony hall, had one interviewer on stage with her, and then opened for audience questions. But instead of having a roving person with a mic or having people write questions and picking, they were calling on people whose hands were up?? In a giant symphony hall that didn't work so well.

But she was super cool and funny and said that her new fame is weird because people recognize her and give her hugs (not cool!) and want to watch her eat? Amusingly she said it's probably weirder for her friends. She also talked about therapy!

Oh, man, I'm giddy right now because it's 6:30 p.m. and still bright and sunshiney. Thank god. (I guess that god would be Apollo. And/or Ra.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds so cool! Except for the bad audience q&a part.

Someone just came by to see if I was prepared for the topic I'm presenting on Wednesday. This is the first I've heard about it. So, yeah, totally prepared.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Meanwhile, ltc doesn't want to get ready for bed because it's light out.

Coding and Sleeping

I got a new clutch put in my car. I didn't have the time to do it myself, since it looked like a job that would take most of a weekend for me. That clutch only lasted 253,000 files.
