Punishingly Intricate

This afternoon is the first time in weeks I've had a few consecutive hours of non-meetinged up time (except got the weekends I've been working. Sigh). I've glut 8 million things to do but what first???

Our wings are not tired.

Work rant to ignore: I actually had a nurse call me at 4:55 because she has a new PC and wanted me to get her software set up. I told her it would be done over the weekend. She proceeded to complain about how she was on another machine all day and there isn't anything set up on her new machine, blah, blah, blah. I politely pointed out that by the time I finished her configuration she would be in her car on the way home for the weekend. I also pointed out that their IT company should have hot spares available already configured for a practice their size where every machine is the same. Grrr

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I actually got quite a bit of work done today, even with my breaks. SO YAY! And I got a movie watch and another started.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

on the lighter side - my boss has an ongoing war with Excel, so anytime I hear him groaning, shouting and swearing ... it's a spreadsheet

I had plans to get a bunch of work done this afternoon, but then I got TRAPPED IN MY HOUSE! Ok, not really. I have a back door. But the front door knob wouldn't open! The deadbolt was fine but the bottom part didn't want to budge! I ended up having to call a locksmith! Sigh.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The playdate may be rescheduled, since Gary has a cold.

I had to get a locksmith to help me get into my apartment because the doorknob wouldn't turn. My wrists simply weren't strong enough anymore. He cleaned it out for me.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

There was just an article about people who eat the same thing for lunch every day -- for years on end, sometimes. I kind of identified with it.

From second through fourth grades I took the same lunch to school every day that they weren't scheduled to serve hamburgers.

In days of chaos, it's nice to rely on a lunch you know you like and isn't going to surprise you.
