"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

But I hope the hyperbolic advisors at least gave you some decent tips. (I've taken a dried out lipstick and mixed it in a little pot [that formerly held some other beauty product sample] with clear lip gloss [the kind that comes in a squeeze tube]. Had to use a lip brush to apply, but saved a gorgeous color!)

I am currently looking for the laziest way possible to do this (reddit suggested coconut oil), because "just buying a new similar shade" is good enough for me, especially if the melting and mixing will require buying more products that I don't have (lip gloss, for example) and the chances of ruining a pot when trying to revive the lipstick.

ION, I'm replacing the battery of my smartphone for the second time in 6 months and my phone isn't with me and I feel the withdrawal. Time to buy a new one, or return to my old dumbphone. Considering how much I am bloody hooked to that ever-self-affirming screen and Twitter, returning to dumbphone does not sound like a bad idea to my grasp of reality and self at this point.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I bought a heating pad this weekend and I am loving it so so much. I can't beliebe I didn't have one before this.

So good! I use mine for an electric blanket, basically.

Our wings are not tired.

Oof, Laura, that sounds like a brutal list!

It is. Mostly I think it is shaking things up. In a rut where various dieting efforts just don't do anything. Nutritionist says the cycle of coffee every morning to get going and wine in the evening to unwind creates an external rhythm rather than my internal metabolism doing its thing. Or some such. The dairy denial I think is just because she is mean. Really most everything that is a common allergen is on her list. Boo.

Probably my discomfort with reading stuff on a tiny screen keeps me from using my phone for much of anything. That and sitting at a computer all day every day!

Heating pads are amazing. I like the variety you toss in the microwave myself.

Yeah, I can see that. But I'm not sure my internal rhythms match up with my job's expectations of me!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yeah, I can see that. But I'm not sure my internal rhythms match up with my job's expectations of me!

Same. I know my internal rhythms want me to go to sleep at 2 AM and get up at 10 or 11, but ltc is up at 7:30 and needs to be at school for 9. That being said, I really need to make some changes to my diet and exercise routine, but being exhausted all the time doesn't help with making changes. Also, I know from my Gestational diabetes diet from when I was pregnant, that being super restrictive makes me super miserable.

Upending cycles. We'll see. Nothing else has worked! See also the whole eating because you are hungry and not because it is a certain hour or because you are pissed off. She's a terror I tell ya!

I have my exciting girly appointment this morning. I haven't been in mumble mumble years. I figure my PCP will send me gold stars when I send him the report.

Best of luck, Laura!

I'm always hungry. The only way I can control this is eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours or so.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I just offered to buy lunch for the two office I support if the other workers would use their inter-office IM for the next week. Half an hour has passed, no one has responded and no one has logged on.

I guess they love me yelling my questions at them and calling each other 50 million times a day on the phone.

Le sigh.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, msbelle.

The only way I can control this is eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours or so.

That seems like a good way to live to me.

I'm in the office. OMG so much to catch up on! Well, it'll get done or it won't, kinda past caring
