Sadly, shrift, the only thing that has ever made me willing to write performance evaluations is alcohol. Which can lead to me saying things I really shouldn't. You might try alcohol for the writing of it and then proofing/editing later when stone, cold sober.

I'm so glad that you're OK, chrismg. Don't throw out any of the damaged CDs yet, you should be able to document which ones were damaged and I expect there will be a way to get compensated for them.
I've yet to have an insurance claim for my house (thank goodness) but my experience with having three cars totalled (none of them my fault BTW) is that insurance companies here in MA are pretty good about setting up the process. Fingers crossed.

The weather is making me feel too groggy to even want alcohol. But I've started my evaluation. Maybe I'll reward myself with Last Week Tonight or Brooklyn Nine-Nine if I finish it before the deadline.

Thanks for the well-wishes,guys. I talked to my insurance company and they're going to cover a two-week hotel stay, plus any moving costs.They even found me one that has full kitchens in the rooms, which will be better than eating out every night.
I'm going to head back to the apartment tomorrow. It's still off-limits, but I can pick up some more stuff.(Including my library books.)
