Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Our wings are not tired.

So I was given the option of pretty much going anywhere or doing anything for the big 65 and I thought about it a bunch and decided to stay home. I ordered yummy food take out for DH to pick up and I am considering movie options to watch in the comfort of my own home. This time of year is such a horror to go out. Long lines everywhere to eat and forget movies without a reservation. This will be so much more relaxing. Now choosing between The Favourite, Annihilation, and Three Identical Strangers, or RBG. Yes, I know, not even remotely similar. DH says I should choose something he would normally roll his eyes at rather than thinking of which he would like best. Awww. I'll go out more after Easter/Passover when all the tourists leave.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I have a purring cat on my lap. Good way to start the weekend.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BTW and on a completely unrelated subject - my sweatshirt dresses that I ordered off a link on, iirc, msbelle's FB arrived and I got a spontaneous compliment from a fellow shopper at the grocery store the first time I wore one (tossed on over fleece pants to run to the store, even) so I feel like that worked out really well! Possibly too casual wear to work, although my work is pretty casual so I might be able to get away with it on the occasional Friday. Clearly good for running errands and should be outstanding for heading to the gym.

That sounds great, Laura. Enjoy!

Part of me wants to suggest that for the big 65 going out for an Early Bird special would be appropriate but I've been doing that for years with no excuse, so probably that part of me can shut its yap.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday, Laura!

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks. The funniest part of the day was my brother sending me an email (he hates the phone as much as I do). It had a graphic of a nasty face Trump saying "Happy Birthday Sister! The Mexicans will be paying for your cake, believe me!". Under that it said happy birthday from your only sib without a Medicare card. He is 11 months younger than me and the youngest of the 4 of us. Amusing because he and I agree on zero politically, but shows he still has humor about it.

Thank you for the wishes. It is a big one in many ways. But still 30 years from the age my mom lived to, so not feeling at death's door or anything. I've pretty much enjoyed all my birthdays after about 25 or so. It's been pretty chill. Avoided work most of the day as is my custom. I'll probably do something with the kids over the weekend because Bobby doesn't get back until early morning tomorrow.

Happy birthday, Laura!!

I ate leftovers of food I made last night, but for some reason today my tummy is SO MAD AT ME for that. What on earth??

Also one of my friends pointed out it's 14 weeks until our trip to France and that somehow feels way way closer than "just over 3 months". Yikes!
