And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

depression chocolate cake using GF flour. Right??

With eggless mayo, sure!

We had a two-hour delay and now I am behind on everything. At least one of the meetings I had today was canceled.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I don't know it as a mayo recipe! Mine is like this one: [link]

D'oh, the mayo cake is from WWII - rationing, not Depression [link]

Someone wasn't thinking things all the way through when they rationed eggs but not mayo. Although I guess no one's eating bacon and mayo for breakfast?

Someone, somewhere, is eating bacon and mayo for breakfast. People are weird.

I'm having such A Week for Reasons, and I'm concerned the same Reasons will spill over to my vacation time next week.

My coworker the martyr sent out a document for everyone to review at 1:30 AM this morning.

I may be watching too much Schitt's Creek, because my immediate response to that was, "Ew!"

I can't decide if I'm justifiably annoyed at my CVS, or irrationally annoyed. Twice in the past 5 days they've just kind of...not filled my refills after I ordered them, until I called and asked if there was a problem with the refill (at which point the dude on the phone asked me -- hand to god -- "Oh, did you want that refilled?"). My doctor sent a refill Friday, and by Sunday afternoon CVS hadn't filled it, so I called to ask if they were out of stock (that's when the phone dude asked if I wanted it refilled). Then it occurred to me if I was going to go pick that up, I should refill my Prozac, so I used the app to order that refill Monday morning. As of this morning, they still hadn't refilled it, so I called and asked if there was a problem. I think I got the same phone dude, because he just said "Uh...we can fill that today."

Normally they fill refills the same day. Am I irrationally annoyed that, after 2 days of waiting, I had to call (for 2 separate prescriptions) to tell them that yes, I actually want the meds I asked for?

I'm going to pick them up today, and I don't want to be the Can I Speak To A Manager person, but I do want to know if they've changed their policy on how long it takes to refill prescriptions. If they've changed it to 2 days, they need to let people know.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Am I irrationally annoyed that, after 2 days of waiting, I had to call (for 2 separate prescriptions) to tell them that yes, I actually want the meds I asked for?

Uh, no, that is the basic function of a pharmacy, to fill prescriptions when you ask them to.

Sorry, I can't tell if that sounds snappy or not. It's only intended to be snappy at the pharmacy.

Huh, it appears I have signed up for Match in Salisbury, NC. That's weird. I guess somebody mistyped their email address. More interesting is that the confirmation E-mail gives me an option to retrieve my password instead of resetting it. Apparently Match doesn't do e-mail verification and stores people's actual passwords. That's a lot of security fail.

No that's annoying, Teppy. Mine often has one drug I get that they don't stock, and have to get next day, and they always end up calling me after I call the automated system for a refill, and asking "is tomorrow after 1pm ok?" (Once it wasn't so I ended up driving to the branch that stocked it)
