Sorry work sucks. I'm being pretty unproductive, but not feeling too bad about it. Also, not wanting to live in your brain today. Although the David Bowie hug would be sweet.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Power is out at my house, and at one of my schools. Went out last night, and the power company was all "you guys aren't getting electricity back any time soon" but the department of education went on twitter with "all schools open!" Until like 5 this morning when they figured out that maybe the schools literally without power shouldn't be open (shocking, right?) And the Internet is partly down at my other school, so everything is a mess.
Also, the news coverage (of closed roads and general conditions that's the bread and butter of local news) is practically non-existant because all the news outlets are based on Oahu (as is the department of education). So, we're clearly Not Important.
I would rather not be at work, but at least I just showed myself to be competent in a meeting.
I'm expecting some kind of award for actually getting out of bed and going to the office today.
Here, have a sticker with a picture of glitter on it, but no actual glitter: [link]

It's true, software developers are the most trusted people. Any poll will tell you that.... once you run the results through the tallying software.
The documentation teams will be over here, laughing bitterly.
(But we trust the developers more than the program managers.)
At least the devs are only accidentally malicious.
(I kid! But it's release note time again. I hate release note time.)
It is snowing AGAIN. Good grief, Seattle!! This is not right!! (Ok it's kinda pretty to watch but...)
I have fond memories of going to Vegas for Lee's birthday, what... 11 years ago? I learned that slot machines are hella boring, Vegas pools are *awesome*, and apparently you can let guys buy you drinks without there being any weird transactionality. All in all a very educational trip.
