They're voting now. I may need a social media break next week.
Protesters randomly screaming Shame! Lots of protesters outside the Capitol. Some getting arrested.
I'm gonna create another Twitter account for nothing but cute animals and weird science and happy stuff.
I took the dog for a run, picked up some jazz cds from my sister (they were our dad's and her husbands and she doesn't want them) and went to dog class. Where the beast did very well indeed, or I did. Thankfully the weather is cooling.
Now I need a shower and some lunch.
I am so disappointed in the Senate and pissed at Anthony Kennedy.
Between national, city, and neighborhood issues I was exhausted last night. I slept on the sofa from 9pm-1am, was up for 4 hours catching up on news/social-media and then slept another 4 hours (in bed this time).
I'm just numb. And not surprised. This is the way it always works.
Yeah, I'm not surprised just really, really tired
Yeah, I'm not surprised just really, really tired
This. I'm exhausted in my bones at this point.
I just got my volunteer assignment for the Women's March Chicago March to the Polls. I'll be in the check-in tent at 7am next Saturday.
I'm not surprised, except at how extra angry I am that it was 50 votes. Collins and Manchin and Flake could have been better humans. I know they were never gonna be, but they could've been. Fuckers.
Yeah, exhausted. My sister and I watched the vote in silence. Then we watched some Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I deleted all my email newsletters, except the comedy ones. Giving it a bit of a rest until I get back to Florida, then more efforts with GOTV.
