Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Because books.

This was me for about the past 10 days, but the fog lifted this morning and I've been able to make it almost an entire workday without a splitting sinus headache! Being able to breathe AND look at things is the best!

I'm anxiously awaiting this day, after three days of actual in-bed sinus infection. I'm sort of practicing being healthy today (I took a shower! I unloaded the dishwasher!) but it was exhausting.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Health~ma all around!

I'm waiting for orders to show up in my system. I'm not great at waiting. I could be using the time to analyze how last year's revenue differed from plan, and how this year's forecasts differ from planned revenue, but I don't feel like it. Meh.

I am very very glad to not be in -60 weather!!

Seriously considered calling in sick today because I just didn't want to get out of bed. Eventually did, and feel slightly less discombobulated than yesterday, but still not entirely with it, or up on what is urgently needed at work vs what is easy to do, vs what I feel like doing...

information libertarian

They've cancelled school tomorrow already; the low is forecast at 0 but with a "feels like" of -20.

Despite the school cancellation, Dillo is having a pissy bitchfest because he has a doctor's appointment today. He needed a shot (routine) and hadn't had a checkup since summer 2017. But he's texting me things like "I'm gonna make him regret making the idiotic mistake that he did" (about mr. flea, whose idiot mistake was making the appointment.)

I'm half very amused and half terrified that this means he;s going to grow up to be one of those horrible irrational people who argues with strangers on the internet. (On the wrong side.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc is super excited about pajama day at school tomorrow, but it is supposed to be cold and snowy and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to take her in.

Yikes Dillo, get it under control, it's just a doctor visit! Getting sick would be worse.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

School was cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday here. More snow days!!!! Or, to be specific, more so-fucking-cold-that-it-can-kill-you days!!!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, I'm pretty sure word will get out to the community; I know she was still in touch with the language co-creators.

Are they still involved with EA and the game? Hoping that the community, which is huge, is able to come together and help her family now.

If the Tumblr apocalypse hadn't happened, I would have suggested putting it on Tumblr, possibly with the tags Simblr and The Sims. I'm not sure how active the community is there right now, though.

Our wings are not tired.

Bonus of working from home: can wear fleece unicorn onesie for warmth and no one mocks you.

To your face anyway! After working from home for many years my family alternates between being amused and appalled by my homewear. Up north this is generally sweatpants and multiple layers on top to strip off as the day progresses. In Florida it is more likely minimal to indecent absence of clothing. Shorts and camisoles with something absurd on my feet because I need cushioning from the tile floors.

I think our cold front ends tonight because it is highs in the 70s the rest of the week.

Massive amounts of health~ma being sent all round.
