Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I heard a bunch of great music last night, and that was just the pre-event! Am excited for today and tomorrow, where I will be hearing and playing a ton more!! I was ignoring the world, which has been amazing, but listened to some podcasts this morning to make sure my rage doesn't totally go away.

Also, I just heard one of my houseguests say to my cat, "you're going to have to move to Canada - you're a celebrity now." (The houseguest is Canadian.) Hee!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Enjoy Dublin, shrift, but definitely avoid the post football match crowd if at all possible.

I'm at my volunteer job at my library bookstore where I usually get quiet time. Instead I get political conversations raising my blood pressure.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay Dublin! Yay music!

OK, I am damn well doing something with today. First stop, breakfast.

I'm sorry, sj.

Apparently protesting and the FBI probe do nothing but line people's pockets. I did not chase them out of the store screaming "35 indictments!"

FBI was their words, but they were definitely talking about Meuller.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, sj. Driving home last night with my sister I thought about stopping at the local bar, but didn't because I was afraid of encountering people happy about Kavanaugh and knew it would not end well if I did. The need to avoid hateful ignorant people is stronger than ever.

Did have a nice time with sister and nephew last night. Went to the first flashlight night at a wild animal center. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my, lit by flashlights. They had a bonfire and lots of the kids had costumes on.

That sounds nice, Laura.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sounds lovely, Laura.

It's amazing how productive I can be when I'm trying to channel rage before it makes me stroke out. I've gone grocery shopping, picked up a small gift for my Finnish cousin who I'll be meeting next week, bought and planted three mums, got the last load of laundry in the dryer, and have a loaf of bread on its first rise on the back of the dryer (I keep my apartment as cool as possible, which makes yeast grumpy, and the dryer throws heat). It's just noon. After lunch, I hope to run the vacuum before heading out for pedicures with Amyth and Buffista-adjacent friends.
