Our wings are not tired.

Now of course he will be extra offended when the ratings for the SOTU are lower than ever.

Relieved it is ending anyway. No way they will let it get shut down again in 3 weeks unless the entire Republican party just wants to fold up.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The Democratic Caucus held firm and the Republicans crumbled.

I'm imagining Pelosi gathering the Dems into a room, smiling, and saying, "See what happens when you don't cave in for some bipartisanship mirage?"

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, for the last 5 years (until some time in November 2018), Tim and I were a Nielsen family, with a spooky box connected to our TV, tracking all the superhero TV shows I watch. And I *loved* that my refusal to watch anything Trump-related was actually measured in the ratings. And now it isn't any more (Nielsen never keeps a family past 5 years). Boo hoo.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Apropos of nothing, you know what's great? Cheese.

A solid theory, but it requires rigorous testing. I'll get started on that asap.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm getting an ingredients box delivered tonight, but now I'm afraid it's not going to be cheesy enough! (What are we supposed to call those? Meal kit delivery.)

For what it's worth, I did half-ass my one thing! Now I think I'm going to straighten up and get out of here.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jesse, I call them meal delivery kits. I used to do one, but then the delivery day was very inconvenient. I liked being able to cook them on the weekend when there was more time because the prep work was always much more than the time they estimated it to be. Although, I might try one again now that TCG gets home so much earler.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Right? Not only is "incredulously" used incorrectly, the bold type just compounds the offense.

I couldn't see very well, but as far as I can tell at least they didn't use Comic Sans.

You take the good when you can find it.
