Our wings are not tired.

ION, I love the way my little girl crosses her paws.

Awww, Zoe does that too and it is so sweet.

I mean my wife will still be angry with me, but no more so than usual.

This really just breaks my heart. You deserve better. None of us deserve anger directed at us for being human.

Happy Roger Stone Indictment Day, everyone!

That was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes this morning because NYT sends notifications to my phone. Put a bit of a bounce in my step.

Kitties finally ate last night. I was getting concerned. I know experts say 2 weeks to 2 months for them to acclimate, but hard. They spend most of the time crammed behind the air handler, but this morning both of them came out to let DH pet them. I'm going to rearrange in there a bit more today because I think it is going to be their safe place for a while. Probably will put off doing laundry for a couple days though so I don't freak them out.

I think I have settled on Scully & Mulder for names. Both those characters have so much in common with cats. I love Fred & Ginger, but my FIL's name was Fred and that might be weird. Also love Bonnie and Clyde, but I just lost my beloved cousin Bonnie this year, and too soon. Just smiling to myself thinking of Scully and Mulder catting around, and fighting and playing with each other.

The worst homemade bumper sticker ever:

Yikes....

I look more rad than Lutheranism

If you came across that car in real life, would you be able to restrain yourself from going at it with a red sharpie?

Right? Not only is "incredulously" used incorrectly, the bold type just compounds the offense.

Kato always did that. He looked like such a proper gentleman dog.

Totally unrelated: I gave my mom a Penzey's box of spices for Christmas, and she texted me this morning to tell me how much they love all the spices they've tried so far. I texted back and told her that the owner of the company really hates this administration and often has specials that poke at something the administration did (like their special on Mexican vanilla and spices right after Trump said something particularly egregious about Mexican people). My mom replied "Really? I'm buying EVERYTHING they sell!"

Thrive to spite them

I had a cat who crossed his paws.

Scully and Mulder are good names. Scrappy the kitten has been warming up to Matthew'm but he is still really skittish. He hides from me although once you can get him from his hiding place he wants lots of petting. And he will get on the bed at night.

Mulder and Scully will come around.

I have a cold again so I stayed home from work. Last cold I didn't and it took a look time to shake. I'm hoping 3 days of rest will help.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mulder and Scully = cute!

I actually have work to do today, and literally no interest in doing it! I can probably waste the day with small tasks, but when am I going to feel like tackling this project? Probably never!

OK, promise to myself: at least give it a half-assed effort today.

Our wings are not tired.

I just went into the hideaway to arrange things and give new water and food. Put a bed down and moved the litter to the far opposite end of the room from the food. BOTH Mulder and Scully came out of their hidey place to collect ear rubs and attention. DH reported when he was visiting with them earlier Zoe howled and barked at skateboarders and they ignored her completely. They were born in a house with dogs so no biggie to them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay Scully and Mulder!

Sometimes half-assedly starting a project makes it easier to really complete it well later.

The truth is out here, kitty cats.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

They sound like an excellent pair of KitKats.
