I just got a tankless water heater, and it feels slow. Also the water smells, but that's got to be a problem someone should fix. (We were giving it some time if it was just because of new, but now it's been two weeks!)

We looked at tankless when our last water heater failed, but it was just too expensive and the unit we got is pretty efficient (also it barely fits because the insulation really increases the diameter).
Yeah, I need to talk to my neighbors with similar plumbing. The people I know who like it best travel a ton, so it is much more economical for them.
What the salesperson (I assume) told my mother is that the tankless should last long enough to make it cost-effective.
(mine is 16 yrs old, so...)
Wow. I don't think we've made it past 5 years without the tank becoming compromised.
I got good news on my attempts to sell the new job. Maybe the TPA isn't great, but we would be in one of their good networks that covers current doctor and important hospitals. I mean, we have UnitedHealthcare now so it's not like it can really be that much worse. If they are flexible enough in the hours, then I think I can make the sale. I mean my wife will still be angry with me, but no more so than usual. I think the big problem is that there is another job I have a phone screening for next week that would pay more (contract job, but W-2 not 1099). That company will not move up the phone screening so, you know, that's probably two weeks to get through their process and I have no idea if it's a job I want or will get. With the delta in benefit costs, it doesn't really end up being that much more money either.

Given my history with water heater failure, I can believe that.

TPA means "third-party administrator"?
Yeah, sorry. Used to work with a company involved in health insurance so I got used to the jargon.
Way to go, Gud! Whether or not it turns out to be the right move for you, it's great that other organizations are recognizing your awesomeness.
