I don't really have a security blanket... unless you count Mr. Pointy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really really dislike getting emails from teachers about work not being done. Last week was a nonstop push to get things done and turned in and the whole time there was s long term project he should have also been working on that he was not.

Email really is the game-changer, huh? I think of my friend who basically stopped going to school junior year, and I don't think his parents ever found out. He intercepted and doctored his report cards, which came in the mail, and that was basically all the interaction his parents had with the school after parent-teacher night in the fall.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Fire officials say the "hazmat has been secured." The car had a total of 225 gallons of gasoline in containers - plus a 40-pound tank of propane - had 2 flat tires and was on the 4th floor of the garage. I'm a little surprised they didn't evacuate us.

Coding and Sleeping

Wow that seems more than a little suspicious.

Holy crap!

Did he go on to senior year?

Yeah, he did. I don't remember how much of junior year he missed, but not enough to fail the whole year, apparently! (And I'm not sure how much that actually would have been in our school.)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The husband of my Mom's BFF grew up,in West Virginia. This was back when it was really poor there and most people didn't even have phones. He got his brother to tell the teacher that he had polio or some really serious illness and that he had to leave school to go away for treatment. He proceeded to skip the next few weeks with no one the wiser until his teacher ran into his mother at the grocery and inquired after his health.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, aurelia. Glad it's secure I guess. How scary!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've heard of that working the other way, where for some reason a 30yr decides to enroll as a high school student.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!
