Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Doesn't seem like her particular area of interest. I could be wrong.
I just watched the whole House of Israel video. My thoughts, in no particular order: I don't see Nathan Phillips provoking anyone. I do see him tying to prevent the event from being hijacked by other groups/issues. The smirky kid facing Mr. Phillips is less egregious than the kids who circled around the Native American group to surround them and the HoI group. I didn't see a single uniformed officer in the entire video. How does that happen? Were they all at the pro-life march? I am glad I've never stopped to listen to HoI dudes when I've seen them here. They were talking some shit. Most of the people who tried to engage with them realized the futility fairly quickly and walked away. There is no excuse for the MAGA kids to not have a chaperone who could do the same. The best person was the Native American guy picking up trash and I love that there was so little for him to pick up.
The smirky kid issued a statement (which was clearly edited by one of his parents and/or a lawyer). He says that, when the HoI guys started talking shit at them, he and his friends asked their chaperone for permission to start doing some of their school chants to drown them out, and the chaperone said it was OK. The HoI guys were specifically shouting at the one black kid in the school crowd, and the chaperones' first responsibility should have been to get that kid out of the way of their abuse, not to let the rest of the students escalate the confrontation, which is what the chanting would clearly do.

Should have tried St. Sebastian. Just sayin'.
backroom got vacuumed and most of the dishes got washed, but moping and moving things to garage did not. halfassed cleaning out of the fridge did though.
and most of the laundry from yesterday and today has been put away.
a banner weekend for cleaning for me and I did not over do it, so I shouldn't be wiped out come the morning.
The past 3 days I have done a shit load of organizing work in the house. 8 loads of laundry, one still in the dryer where it will stay until morning. Tomorrow is a work day but I hope to finish one more part of the project. DH's closet. He has like 3 closets worth of stuff crammed into one space. I took all his suits out first and put them in an unused closet. Next is taking all the shirts and shorts that can be folded and putting them in a spare bedroom empty chest of drawers. Hoping to get it thinned out enough that things can move a bit. Also, his clothes are absurdly big.
Tonight I had a dinner with my nephew and SiL, which means I've had dinner with my entire family this week. My SiL is in town for work, but my nephew does have a Dr's appt. to keep that chain going. (It's because he's part of a long-term drug trial so no sudden emergencies there.)
Ha, good to see family, particularly without emergencies!
My SIL arrived from NY so we had a get together at other SIL's house. Much joy and laughter. Rhonda was exhausted from all the hours on the phone arranging flight changes for the storm that never actually happened at her airport.
I had Maria here this weekend! We just went out to eat and hid from the weather. Good times.
Now tomorrow I'm REALLY going to hide from the weather -- the forecast is high of 10.
