Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now the recurring dilemma: I have no coffee in the house, but getting some would require getting dressed. And getting anywhere is a pain (...literally). But do I go without coffee?!

That is a dilemma! Maybe start with hot cocoa.

Also, Shir, snow must be really unusual there! I'm glad you are home, though.

There is a brutal cold going around my office, which I hope I don't get.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Every few years there's snow for about 2-3 days. For tonight we might get an inch of snow on the ground. An emergency that requires closing work places and schools, apparently.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

International people of mystery! So exciting.

Sorry about the preemptive layoff, Gud. What a bizarre situation.

I def did not notice an earthquake this morning, but I probably wouldn't have, looking at the maps.

Sumi really? I mean, for a while office sure, but for just me that seems inefficient.

Will consider caffeine for lunch.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I'm on day 2 of baby shark earworm and I might murder someone.

ION, after a test run yesterday I can confirm that I would adapt well to a life of free time consisting mostly of movie watching and running errands, so if I could get a grant for that or a funding stream or a patron, that would be keen.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Gud, I'm sorry. That's fucked up and infuriating.

Coding and Sleeping

My daughter was just in a car accident, but it sounds like she's fine. Car is a goner though. From what I've heard it wasn't her fault. She called me, but I was in the middle of a phone interview so I didn't pick up. So once again I let down the family. Oh well, the important thing is that she is okay.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You're not letting the family down entirely if you're in the middle of trying to get a new job to support them all.

Why couldn't she call her mother if she couldn't reach you? That's just one of the reasons that having two parents is a good idea.

Roommate has been mooning around, reading paper books instead of watching endless episodes of Law & Order/CSI. She was supposed to speak to a bank-type lady on Monday, but hasn't said word one about what happened, not even if she actually spoke to said lady. She did leave the house for a while yesterday.

I don't know if I'd make the situation more fraught if I asked what happened. Her original date to give me the late rent was last Monday. I got some money out of my IRA so I could make the mortgage payment (Xmas driving is very sparse) so I'm a bit miffed.
