That's so crazy! OK, when my mom stops driving (not any time soon, I hope) I guess I'll be able to get a car that's self-driving enough for me to be comfortable.

Laura WHAT!? That is madness. The future!
I am allowed to start partial weight bearing! Basically the doctor said I can put 25% weight on it now, 50% in a week, 75% the next week, up to 100. But currently all in a walking boot. Eventually, without the walking boot. Yay! Going to PT tomorrow to try to figure out what 25% of my bodyweight even feels like? Because I sure don't know.
I have not had any cauliflower, but stopped at Whole Foods and had sushi and tres leches cake, for dinner.
msbelle, is that actually legal?
Woot! Even 25% weight bearing helps a lot.
Hooray weight-bearing!
Boo no heat working!
My cauliflower levels are quite low, alas.
Neat, Laura!
not sure. My boss told us to go home and we had space heaters so it was warmer by us, but with month end/year end - the slow connection at home wasn't worth it to me. Tomorrow I'll be there until the heat repair guy shows up and if he doesn't get it fixed I'll leave.
I've managed quite the exciting New Years. I have an infected foot! So that's fun. (I initially thought it was a mozzie bite, as I collected a couple of those that night at a neighbour's place.) It's somewhat uncomfortable but not painful, and the fever seems to have subsided now (fingers crossed). That got a bit weird. I've been reading Fire and Blood, the Game of Thrones 'history' of Targaryen rule. The first night the fever decided to manifest itself as a few (dream-induced) fire-breathing dragons. (One of which was being ridden by a K-pop singer, I don't know what that was about.)
Anyway, I'm now on antibiotics and all, waiting to see if it subsides. Cooking my spinach and cottage cheese lasagne (appears in the Buffista cookbook as a cannelloni recipe), which is Ryan's favourite meal, so he'll be happy. Tomorrow we'll just be doing a salad of some description, as the forecast is for the temp to reach 42 degrees (107F). Still, Melbourne is getting off lightly, that's just for a single day. Parts north have had temperatures north of 35 for up to a week or more.
42 degrees?! Dang, that's excessive, Australia!
Australia is nothing if not extra.
