Happy birthdays Jesse, Rayne, and Theo!

That sounds like a wonderful time with wonderful food, Laura. Yay!

Close to half if not over half of the department is out today. Peaceful.

Wow, I'm left handed and can write slowly but semi-legibly with my right hand, but definitely not mirrored!

Laura that crazy feast sounds awesome! My plan for today is...read more Yuletide?

Good plan, meara.

I need a hot beverage. Do I want coffee or cider? Or tea, I suppose, but that doesn't sound as appealing at the moment.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I love reading about everyone's holidays! We had our usual movie day. Stared with "Vice," which was beautifully acted but I already knew Dick Cheney was evil as fuck, so it didn't cover any new ground. Ten "Mary Poppins" which I loved, even though it could have deviated a bit more from the origin, IMO. Honestly, I could watch Lin Manuel Miranda smile his irresistibly sweet smile ALL DAY. Last movie was "Aquaman," and in spite of the scorching hotness of Momoa, we both found pretty horrible and we actually left before the end--something we almost never do.

DH gave me a waterproof Kindle for reading in the bathtub! I gave him a bat house for our backyard and he spent a good part of the evening last night researching bats.

Our wings are not tired.

-t, hot cocoa!

Oh, a waterproof Kindle would get me to take baths!

Oooh, good gifts. I saw a clip of Vice that was demonstrating Christian Bale's disappearing into the role. Technically impressive, he sure did disappear, but not something I need to see.

I don't have any, Laura! I decided on an espresso sized cup of coffee for now and grabbed a packet on instant cider to add hot water to in a little bit.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Laura that sounds like a fantastic day.

Happy birthday, Jesse!

Happy birthday, Theo!

We had a great xmas eve dinner with much laughter, and a lovely xmas day.

This morning I made waffles for Matilda and Emmett as they cuddled on the couch. His mom's about to collect him, and then he's off to Tahoe with his friends for a few days.

A very successful, happy, lovey xmas holiday.

FYI, the espresso cups that Starbucks is selling as ornaments hold less than 4 oz

That seems like it should be enough for espresso and yet 4 oz just doesn't seem like enough coffee on principle.

I am about 88% better from my cold but I am still waking up with my mouth tasting like the inside of Santa's boot. I've been gargling with salt water to kill it off.

In other exciting news, my debit card was compromised which I did not learn until I tried to buy papertowels yesterday and had to leave it all there at Walgreens and call my bank.

Now I have to get a new card, but it also means that things rigged up for automatic payment on that account now have to be re-done as well. What a pain!
