Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It is a temperature that starts with a three here today

I shouldn't admit this, but my first reaction (seriously) was "300 degrees OH MY GOD...wait."

Clearly I need more coffee.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It is a temperature that starts with a three here today

Interestingly, that is the case over here as well.

Our wings are not tired.

Well, I could talk about the glory that is South Florida in November. I celebrated our cold front that came in last night and opened up my windows. It is apparently 78F out, but very breezy so it feels chilly to this thinned blooded Floridian. Also, billytea, I'm hoping that there is a very low number after that three!

Ugh. I always get more headaches in winter and I don’t know why. But I hate it. Had one Monday, had one last night that continues into this morning.

Those German ads are great.

Raq that is awful being in a windowless room sans internet. Even without covid that sounds awful. Ick.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Silly/convoluted thing from work I have to share.

Every other week I gather and submit all the hours our department spends on COVID related things. For this example assume the first and third weeks of each month are A and the second and fourth are B. These timesheets are A/B

The weeks I do not do this form, I submit a timesheet for Big Boss to her boss of just her COVID time. These timesheets are B/A.

Could they have coordinated to be due the same weeks? You would think, but no.

Big boss does not actually keep her time so I guess and send in to her fir approval. As shown in previous examples Big Boss is prone to mis-reading and making things very confused, so we use just the one timesheets for her.

So the issue is, when I get her timesheet for her boss approved, I have only half of her time I need for the Department submittal. I then send her a half-filled out timesheet to just approve the time on the first week, she ALWAYS sends it back with the full thing filled out and signed and locked. So she fills out FUTURE TIME! It is so ridiculous and makes me laugh every time. Like how?!?!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

...filled out and signed and locked. So she fills out FUTURE TIME!

She's not signing under penalty of perjury, is she?

What are the consequences if she ends up not working the hours reported?

Policy came down from my VP back in March that there would be no overtime without prior written notice from her. I have been abiding by that, even though it is very awkward when patches are released towards the end of a payroll cycle. My manager is not happy about it. Too bad.

Literally no clue what happens if time is ever audited.

I resend her this signed locked form before I submit to her boss (the next week) so she could alter the time.

And the department chief who 1) never sends me her dept attendance and 2) is always late with department and her own time sheets: is once again LATE! I have everything else ready to go.

In non-work related news I finally got around to scheduling the follow up ultrasound from my mammogram. Trying to get a bunch of Dr things done before year end.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So nice to see Volans here though I do get to interact with her on Twitter from time to time.

Ugh, I'm dispirited. There's talk they won't open the schools up again until fall of next year. As Bill Murray's character in the Royal Tenenbaums says, "Well, I just want to die." I'm not going to survive 18 months of Matilda being out of school.

Also, got an email from EM saying she won't be coming to Thanksgiving. Even though I think it would be safe (It's just us, her and Emmett), of course I respect her wishes. But it won't be the same without her.

Also, the 10th anniversary of my first girlfriend's death.

Obviously I'm going to need a lot more coffee to deal with today.

She has Great Faith that she'll keep to her schedule?

msbelle's boss, I mean.
