Unrelatedly, I am upright and back at work! Yay, I guess. I mean, sure, yay. Definitely.

Oh dana that's hella awkward! Damn. Was there any sense at all that anything would be done about the feedback? I'm guessing no.

Fb reminded me that 7 years ago today I started looking for a new job because my old job took away 6 days of vacation per year. In a few months I'll have been at my current company for 7 years, and will be making even more vacation per year...reasons I hesitate to leave this company. Golden handcuffs?

Was there any sense at all that anything would be done about the feedback? I'm guessing no.

The broader issues, I have no idea. The general stuff about our manager? I would not want to be in the meeting where she's confronted with this feedback. But what can they do? She's got too much work as it is, and they're not going to somehow lighten the load so she can spend time changing her personality and becoming a better manager.

I don't feel like doing anything, but at least I don't have to have a meeting like that?

I am trying to get through some file audits which will get s stack of things off my desk. Fairly slow going.

Motivation low.

People being annoying.

The only reason I dragged myself into work today is because I need to start training some newbies. Oh, and it's tater tot day, so I guess two reasons.

I've reached the point in two jobs where I need things from other people, I can stop and wait or pick up something else and risk having yet another job that will be partially done.

Just saw reference to a housing development called Potemkin Village. I don't want to live there. It's in Georgia, it's low-income housing. Some developer is either very cynical or pretty clueless.

I'm still stuck on the mountain. I still can't get to work. A taxi will cost at least $30 one way. And then I have to walk bck up when I'm off.

I don't know anyone well enough nor does anyone live close enough for me to ask for a ride.

Mom is going stir crazy. She did walk down a fair way and get out.

The issue is ice. It got down to 20 last might and hasn't been sunny or super warm so the ice is still really firm and it's I don't know how much but imagine 4 car lengths of fairly solid ice in tire tracks and then down the middle is mostly frozen snow that goes over my bumper.

If I had gone to Matthew's I could have just driven back and forth.

I do have 2 days of PTO so I will only lose 3 days of pay. I hope if it gets credited right. I feel like I'm being irresponsible toward work but I don't want to spend a lot of money to get to a job that pays $9/hr.

So I'm stuck and frustrated.

If they need you that bad they can send transportation, askye. It is such a mess there I am confident they understand.

I've done much of my online shopping today. Bobby & Tate always want to do things with us and her parents so I purchased a 6 person escape room thing for us to do together. That should be fun. We have a choice of a couple vaults, but this one I think is best. "Death and Breakfast: When a thunderstorm puts a damper on your road trip, you and your friends check into a bed and breakfast to wait it out. The caveat: your room is a tchotchke-free dungeon and the owner is a cannibal, and you have 60 minutes to escape before you're on the menu." All 6 of us are very different personalities and would approach things differently so I think it will be fun.
