No surprise, the tree did not get decorated while I was out of town. In fact it was like I was never gone, including the dishes I left in the sink still there.
So I picked up my son and a pizza and he is doing the tree while I supervise. Bad Santa via Netflix in the background.
covers don't count in Whamadeddon
Good to know! I'm astonished to still be in either game between two Christmas shows at work, Christkindlemarket one block over and shopping district all around.
I am home! I was prepared to feel warmer, but it's gross and windy here, and I'm not very comforted by ten or twenty degrees more of heat.
My reward for checking my email tonight was notification of a 7:30 AM meeting tomorrow. For my team to discuss employee feedback.
Can you give them the feedback that you have too many early morning meetings?
Live and learn. Will never ask eldest son to help with tree again. First, the non-stop complaining. Second, I will end up having to redo the whole thing anyway. I knew it would have been easier to do it myself, but I didn't think it would be this miserable. Not enough wine in the house for this.
eta: you would think at almost 27 he would be over the deliberate incompetence stage
I drove him home then fixed my tree. Just lights for now. Will do ornaments tomorrow. Myself. Maybe put some more strands of lights.
Ugh, Laura. I'm sorry. It took me a couple years of being with TCG to get used to the fact that decorating the tree didn't have to be a completely stressful task because my stepdad would bitch and complain the whole time.
Sorry, Laura.
Can you give them the feedback that you have too many early morning meetings?
If only. I will probably say the usual, that our PMs have too much on their plates, being responsible for both marketing and technical things, which means we can't get enough of their time or attention, so we all (including them) end up stressed. And people will nod, and nothing will change.
my stepdad would bench and complain the whole time
Yes, the complaining non-stop was more annoying than the crap work product. I even played his favorites Bad Santa and Elf to set a mood.
