I'm sorry, Maria.
She’s one of those people who makes friends and keeps them, because she’s loving and kind and care-full—as in, full of caring.
That's what I was just thinking about, caring. She cares deeply and radiates that caring. I'm sorry, Calli, and thank you for putting in words what I was thinking about.
Amyth and I bonded at the DCF2F and visited each other many times in the sixteen (!) years since, including a memorable trip to Nashville with a few other Buffistas, where we stayed in a hotel that I now drive past every day on my commute to & from school. She and my husband bonded over losing a sibling after his brother's death, and he reminded me last night that on that same trip, she helped us pick out our cat Chesterfield from the shelter. Not to mention all the fandoms she brought me into...
I'm going to miss her so much. And I'm doubly sorry for those who got to see her in their daily lives, who will feel her absence even more keenly. I can't believe this is real.
Also: One of my best & oldest friends had a (minor) heart attack last week and will have to have open heart surgery on Friday, and my FIL just tested positive for COVID. (As far as I know, he feels sick but not miserable and is OK at home, but he lives alone and far from us, and I'm just going to worry until he's fully recovered, insh'allah).
Can this year just... cool it for a while?
I’m sorry, Kate P. That’s a lot.
Kate P, ~ma for your friend.

I have never met amyth in person, but I did always enjoy seeing her posts about her friend gatherings.
Hey pssst....is there anyone on Cameo who Amyth likes? I checked for a few folks off the top of my head and they weren’t listed, but wouldn’t a greeting from a fave be a nice treat?
If Joseph Gordon Elliott is there... Uh, except his actual name is Levitt. Thank you, 2020, for destroying more of my brain cells.

Yes. She’s also very fond of Chris Evans.
Julie Benz and Emma Caulfield are there. I can't remember who amyth's favorites are...
