Useful link for any of us non-Georgians who want to help out--a Google Docs list of BIPOC-led grassroots groups in Georgia that will be working to mobilize voters for the runoffs. What I've heard from members of various private or secret groups is that these groups, which have been active for years and know their constituencies, welcome support (money, time and effort) from out-of-staters but feel it's really important that we follow their lead--the rest of us rushing in and taking over the GOTV effort will alienate at least as many voters as it energizes. Thanks, JZ. I worry about the voters being inundated.
Dammit. A friend from college who I haven't been in touch with at all but remember fondly and would have liked to reconnect with has died. At least I got to hear a little bit about his life since I knew him via the obituary...
I'm so sorry, -t. I've only had that happen once so far, but it was a gutpunch.
-t, I am so sorry.

-t, I’m so very sorry.
Thanks everyone. It's a very weird feeling, like getting the Cliff Notes of his life and knowing that the books is gone for good.
