Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Noooooooooope, not gonna look.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

JZ, I feel you. I'm sort of glad we haven't been able to see my inlaws much because they've become completely crazy Trumpers, and I just don't get it. My f-i-l is a wonderful father, a kind loving grandfather, and an intelligent man. I just don't get it.

Tea:

ltc just stamped her feet and said, "I demand more candy!" and after we stopped laughing we sent her to her room to put on her pjs and reconsider her words.

What is even happening?

Why was Sean Connery in there???

Cupie doll to the little lady. This is the correct question (with a side of "Elon Musk, really dude?")!!!

I have to think the vidder is in on the joke, because he says he's a filmmaker and editor in his Twitter bio.

Am I wrong in thinking he set out to make it as bad as possible? (The only thing that makes me doubt that theory is that he tagged the whole world: @JoeBiden, @KamalaHarris, @BarackObama, @ChrisEvans, @MarkRuffalo, @RobertDowneyJr, @brielarson, @AOC, @staceyabrams, @michaelb4jordan, and the @Russo_Brothers.)

I WON'T WATCH THAT MESS AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME

JZ, think of it as a cleanse. Like I said on Twitter: It's 2001 again, and fandom is young, lush, and has been raised by wolves.

Also, thank you for that perfect homage to ita and her terrible links that made us all regret having been born with eyes.

I know I'm still emotionally exhausted, because that made me tear up.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

(with a side of "Elon Musk, really dude?")

Oh yeah, him too. Sean Connery was just so completely out of place that I ignored the weirdness of Elon Musk being in it.

And yes, I was totally expecting Pete Buttigieg to be Spider-Man.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My work team is arranging a not-on-the-clock virtual happy hour/airing of grievances.

Phew! You definitely need that.

But, shit. I knew we nice white ladies were shady as a class, but somehow I'd imagined the LGBTQ artists among us would have dodged this particular bear trap of crazy. It's more contagious than Covid!

Uggghhhh. I legit don't understand how this voter fraud is supposed to be happening. We all have good systems for making sure each person only votes once! How would you figure out who wasn't going to vote and then slip in a vote on their behalf? I do not understand.

I interrupt this lovely discussion by you wonderful people, regarding terrible people with terrible opinions, to bring you the greatest media fannish crime against humanity, ever. Watch it. It is the worst thing you've ever seen and will change your life.

Wow, that was hilarious.

I'm glad I had that moment of glee, because now it seems Rachel Maddow has been exposed to COVID-19.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

ltc just stamped her feet and said, "I demand more candy!" and after we stopped laughing we sent her to her room to put on her pjs and reconsider her words.

I understand her views at deep spiritual level.

Fuck! She'd better be okay.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

We all have good systems for making sure each person only votes once! How would you figure out who wasn't going to vote and then slip in a vote on their behalf? I do not understand.

Per this one person, absentee ballots and mail-in ballots are completely different things in Michigan (Spoiler alert: I checked the Michigan SoS site, and they are not only exactly the same thing but "mail-in ballots" don't even really exist in Michigan; everything that doesn't involve walking into your polling place and voting in person is called an absentee ballot) and mail-in ballots are the fraud risk (Spoiler alert: They are not; also, as above, they don't exist as such in Michigan). Also, the Democrats have been flagrantly violating Federal law (she capitalized it) for weeks by banning observers from polling places (Spoiler alert: They have not), which is very distressing to her as a Constitutionalist and she thinks it ought to be of concern to every American (it would concern me if I seriously thought it were happening, but I do not--though apparently that's just because I lack courage).

I'm still a little heated about it!

Wrapping Rachel Maddow in health~ma.

ltc is exhausting but also delightful!

And, dammit, now I kind of want to watch that mess despite my resolve.
